Our THA Hornets are off to a busy start at the beginning of the year with 4 competitions under their belt.

Our newly formed Robotics Team, in conjunction with the Governor’s School for Math, Science and Technology, placed 2nd in Project Idea and 5th out of 11 in the Robot Task Competition. Way to go, Govies!

Andrews Meadows did an excellent job at the SCISA Spelling Bee and will advance to the State Round.

The Middle School traveled to Myrtle Beach for the National Beta Club Convention.  Belle Elsesser was elected state Chaplain and Maggie Wensink came home with not one, but two awards.  She placed 2nd overall in the Language Arts Competition and also received 2nd place in the watercolors portion of the Art Competition.

Lastly, the Mathletes Team placed 3rd overall in the State SCISA Math Competition.  Alex Gardner placed 2nd for overall highest score individually.  She and David Ropp recieved medals for highest scores on their teams.

We are so proud of our THA Hornets!
